Countess Gas Storage Compression
Seven reciprocating injection and withdrawal compressor packages of 3,400 kW each, 23,800 kW in total, for an underground gas storage facility in southern Alberta.
CHR personnel worked on the compression for the Countess underground natural gas storage facility in southern Alberta: seven reciprocating injection and withdrawal compressor packages of 3,400 kW each, 23,800 kW in total.
The same compressors push pipeline gas into the reservoir in the injection season and bring it back to pipeline pressure in the withdrawal season, so they run over a wide range of suction and discharge pressures.
The photos show the packages during installation and the process towers being set in 2003.
