Trademark notice
Canada Hydrocarbon Recovery Ltd. (“CHR”) is an independent supplier and is not affiliated with, authorized by, sponsored by, or an official dealer of Ariel, Ajax, Cameron, Dresser-Rand, Waukesha, Cummins, Jenbacher, Ajax, Solar Turbines, or any other manufacturer named on this website.
All manufacturer names, trademarks, model designations and part numbers are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification and reference purposes only, to describe the equipment with which a part is compatible. CHR does not use manufacturers’ logos and does not imply any endorsement.
Parts supplied may be OEM genuine (sourced through independent channels) or high-quality aftermarket/equivalent parts, as specified in each quotation. Manufacturer warranties may not apply. Cross-reference and compatibility information is provided in good faith for guidance and must be verified against the equipment’s records before ordering.
Terms of quotation
Quotations are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise and are subject to prior sale. Each quotation identifies, line by line, whether the part is OEM genuine or an equivalent, its origin where known, and the lead time.
Prices are quoted in US dollars or Canadian dollars, as stated on the quotation, exclusive of applicable taxes, duties and freight. Delivery terms follow Incoterms® 2020 as stated on the quotation. International shipping is arranged on request.
Supplies are subject to applicable export control and sanctions regulations of Canada, the United States and other jurisdictions. End-user and end-use information may be required before quotation or shipment. CHR may decline any enquiry that cannot be completed in compliance with these regulations.
Terms of sale
These terms apply to every order unless the quotation or order confirmation states otherwise. If they differ, the quotation prevails. Terms in a purchaser’s own order forms do not apply unless CHR accepts them in writing.
Payment
Payment is 100% in advance, before parts are ordered from the manufacturer or released for shipment, by wire transfer to the account stated on CHR’s invoice. Bank charges on the sender’s side are paid by the purchaser. Ownership passes to the purchaser when payment is received in full; risk passes according to the Incoterms® rule on the quotation.
Delivery
Lead times on quotations are estimates based on information from manufacturers and carriers at the time of quoting. CHR is not liable for delays caused by manufacturers, carriers, customs or events beyond its reasonable control. Shortages and visible transport damage must be reported in writing within 7 days of receipt.
Warranty
Unless the quotation states otherwise, parts and equipment supplied by CHR are warranted against defects in material and workmanship for 6 months from delivery. If a part is shown to be defective within that period, CHR will, at its option, repair it, replace it or refund the price paid for it. Removal, installation, travel, downtime and freight to and from site are not covered.
The warranty does not apply to:
- Normal wear. Wear parts and consumables (such as valve plates and springs, piston rings and rider bands, packing and seals, gaskets, filters, spark plugs and other ignition parts, and lubricants) are covered for defects present on delivery, not for wear in service.
- Used, surplus or remanufactured parts, which are sold as described on the quotation and without warranty unless the quotation gives one.
- Parts made to a purchaser’s drawing or sample (such as bearings and camshafts), which are warranted to conform to that drawing or sample; CHR is not responsible for the design or for errors in the information supplied.
- Electrical and electronic parts (such as sensors, controls, drives, electronic carburetors and fuel valves) damaged by incorrect wiring, power supply faults, moisture or installation that does not follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Services, such as repair, overhaul, diagnostics and site supervision, which are covered by the terms in the service quotation.
- Any part that has been misused, modified, installed or operated incorrectly, or selected by the purchaser for an application that CHR did not confirm in writing.
OEM genuine parts sourced through independent channels may not carry the manufacturer’s own warranty; CHR’s warranty above applies instead.
Returns and cancellation
Standard stock parts may be returned unused, in original packaging, within 30 days of delivery and with CHR’s prior written approval; a restocking fee and the cost of return freight may apply. Parts ordered specially for the purchaser, made to drawing or sample, electrical and electronic parts that have been unpacked or installed, and used or surplus parts cannot be returned. Orders cancelled after CHR has placed them with a manufacturer are subject to any charges CHR cannot recover.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, CHR’s total liability for any order is limited to the price paid for the parts or services concerned, and CHR is not liable for loss of production, profit or use, or for any indirect or consequential loss. The warranty above replaces all other warranties and conditions, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of Calgary, Alberta, have jurisdiction over any dispute. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
Export control & trade compliance
Our commitment to regulatory compliance
CHR is committed to conducting international business responsibly and in accordance with applicable export control regulations, trade restrictions and economic sanctions.
As a supplier of industrial equipment, machinery and replacement components for the energy and industrial sectors, we recognize the importance of preventing unauthorized exports, transfers and the potential diversion of products to restricted destinations or prohibited end users. Our operations are guided by applicable Canadian, U.S. and international trade regulations, including requirements administered by the relevant government authorities.
1. Restricted countries and territories
As part of our internal trade compliance policy, CHR does not accept or process transactions involving the following countries and territories:
- Cuba
- Iran
- North Korea
- Syria
- Russia and Belarus
- Venezuela
- The Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine
These restrictions form part of CHR’s commercial risk management policy and may extend beyond specific statutory prohibitions. Products supplied by CHR must not be redirected, resold, transferred or delivered to any of the destinations listed above, whether directly or through distributors, intermediaries, logistics providers or other third parties.
2. Transaction verification and compliance procedures
To minimize the risk of unauthorized exports and ensure transparency throughout the supply chain, our transaction review procedures may include:
- Customer and partner screening: verification of purchasers, shipping agents, intermediaries and ultimate recipients against applicable government sanctions and restricted-party lists, including those maintained by Global Affairs Canada, OFAC, BIS and DDTC.
- End-use and end-user documentation: requests for documentation confirming the intended application and final recipient of equipment, particularly for compressor, engine and other industrial components that may be subject to export controls.
- Destination verification: assessment of shipment details and destination information through available geographic data, supporting documentation or other appropriate verification methods.
- Transaction rejection: orders may be declined when satisfactory verification of the final destination, intended application or ultimate recipient cannot be obtained.
3. Purchaser obligations and representations
By submitting or confirming an order with CHR, the purchaser represents and agrees that:
- Products purchased from CHR will not be supplied, exported, re-exported, resold or otherwise transferred to destinations or parties prohibited under applicable sanctions regulations or CHR’s stated trade restrictions.
- Supplied equipment and components will not be used in connection with the development, manufacture or deployment of nuclear, chemical or biological weapons, missile systems or other prohibited weapons programs.
- All information submitted concerning the final customer, intended use, delivery location and any relevant intermediaries is truthful, complete and accurate.
CHR may suspend, reject or cancel a transaction whenever export control requirements, sanctions exposure or unresolved compliance concerns present an unacceptable risk.
4. Compliance inquiries and reporting
Customers, suppliers and business partners are encouraged to contact CHR about export eligibility, trade restrictions, documentation requirements or suspected compliance violations at info@canadahydrocarbon.com.
5. Our approach to responsible international trade
CHR recognizes that international trade compliance requires ongoing attention as regulations, sanctions programs and commercial risks evolve. We are committed to developing and maintaining appropriate compliance practices, reviewing relevant regulatory developments and supporting responsible, transparent business relationships throughout our international supply chain.
Our objective is to provide dependable industrial supply services while respecting applicable legal requirements and maintaining high standards of business integrity.
